About Us

This program provides educational opportunities for students who are not enrolled in a traditional program.

New Horizons serves students in grades 9-12 seeking a high school diploma or GED.

La Jara Adult serves adults (21 years old and older) seeking a high school diploma or GED.

Heartlight/Choices serves expelled students and those with special circumstances.

Mission Statement

The mission of the North Conejos School District is to provide a safe, nuturing learning environment where diversity is clelbrated, mutual respect among adults and children is practiced and where school and communities are seen as valued partners in creating the foundation for life-long learning. The district is committed to helping all students achieve academic excellence through intellectual, creative and physical challenges which enables them to function as prductive and successful citizens in a changing global society
