Dear La Jara Elementary Families,

Welcome to a new year at La Jara Elementary!  I am amazed at how fast the summer tends to go by, however I am happy that I get to work with you and your children.

This will be my 1st year as principal at La Jara Elementary.  I am excited to start the new school year. My focus will always be to ensure that your children are getting a great education.  Students, parents, and teachers working together will make this possible.

Our staff at La Jara Elementary works hard to ensure that your children get the best opportunity to learn.  I have worked with most of the staff for many years.  I know how dedicated they are, and how hard they work to make sure that La Jara Elementary students are learning.  We appreciate the support that you give your children and the school. If we all work together we can ensure that all of our students are prepared for the future.  Let's have a wonderful school year!

I would like to share a few things with you that I believe will help us to have a great school year.  Please use the student drop off area when dropping your children off at school. There is a lot of traffic at the beginning of the day, and we want to make sure that your children are safe.  Please do the same when picking up your children from school at the end of the day.  Attendance is important for your child's education.  School starts at 8:10 am.  All students K-5 will receive free breakfast.  All Free/Reduced lunch students will receive free lunch this year. Class lists will be posted on Monday, August 18th. School begins on Monday, August 25th.  If you have any questions, please contact us.

Sincerely,

Ricky Salazar
